ENOUGH
Giertlová, Elena ; Smetana, Matěj (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
Project deals with the development of a 2D, roleplaying videogame for the computer platform. Theoretical part of the thesis is focused on background of pixelart in videogames, as well as game and storytelling cliche, while both of these aspects are used in the final project. Practical part is the design of characters, enviroment and scenes, and the complete realization of a prototype for pixelart videogame named ENOUGH, with the visual of retro games for old platforms. Its story is being shown as a cliche as well, though with the strong symbolism refering to authors psychique and on the mental health or memories.
Intuitive Drawing on the Android Platform
Appl, Martin ; Kajan, Rudolf (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with design and implementation of finger painting application for mobile devices with Android operating system. Main focus is on well designed, intuitive and friendly user interface. Solved problems are spline interpolation of points, zoom and pinch with transformation matrices, extensive history for action reversal and few basic tools.
Network Game: Destroy the Submarine
Kovačič, Dušan ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis Network game: Destroy the submarine is to analyze and implement network architecture and solve all the problems connected with it. In final version, the created program uses client-server network architecture. Both subjects are communicating with complex network protocol. For effective data the virtual connection over UDP protocol is established. Minor part of this study solves graphical problems and received data displaying. For this purpose, there are different frequenc ies used for data handlings and techniques that provide better game experience.
Interactive study utilities focused on computer graphics
Malina, Jakub ; Průša, Zdeněk (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
In this thesis we focus on the basic properties of computer curves and their practical applicability. We explain how the curve can be understood in general, what are polynomial curves and their composing possibilities. Then we focus on the description of Bézier curves, especially the Bézier cubic. We discuss in more detail some of the fundamental algorithms that are used for modelling these curves on computers and then we will show their practical interpretation. The aim of the thesis is the creation of the set of interactive Java applets, simulating some of the methods and algorithms discussed in the theoretical part. These applets will help facilitate understanding of theoretical knowledge and will make the teaching more effective. Lecturers and students of the Brno University of Technology will be able to test these applets on web pages.

We discuss in more detail some of fundamental algorithms that are used for modelling these curves on computers and then we will show their practical interpretation. Then we explain non uniform rational B-spline curves and De Boor algorithm. In the end we discuss topic rasterization of segment, thick line, circle and ellipse.
